Instead of doing a series of 'monthly favourites' like a lot of bloggers do, I thought every now and again I would discuss some products I had been loving over a period of time. Purely because I dont seem to change products every month so it would be nothing new! Just before Christmas and the New Year, these products had been in my daily/weekly routine and I thought I'd share them with you.

1. ST Moritz 1 Hour Tan in Darker than Dark .

The last few months of 2018 saw me doing a lot socially which meant I always wanted to be nice and tanned. Over the years, St Moritz was a brand I'd always go back to time after time and after experimenting with their different formulas I found the foam in Dark was my favourite. I came across this gem and thought I'd try it as an instant tan and wow, it's so good! I always preferred leaving my tan on over night if It was for the next day OR applying it before I went out and praying to God It didn't rain as that was the only way I'd get the tan dark enough. Having a spray tan and being that dark is my favourite and this new 1 hour tan is equivalent to a spray tan! Obviously you have to be careful, if you decide to not wash it off after an hour or sleep in it and go straight out, DONT GO NEAR WATER. But if you're careful or wash it off after sleeping in it, it goes on lovely, doesn't streak and gives the best coverage. I highly recommend it if you like to be Dark when using fake tan and the only negatives I can think of is the smell (which we all know and hate) and the fact that its a little more harder to blend than the old version. But if you're quick at applying it you'll be fine!

2. Sanex roll on deodorant.

A few months back I was experiencing pains under my armpit which I will discuss in a separate post about my Vitamin D deficiency and decided to switch to roll on deodorant rather than spray. I never liked using It before because I always felt like it made me more sweaty but after realising the harsh chemicals I would usually spray into my armpit by using spray and how much It must clog up my pores full of those chemicals I switched. I am so glad it did because after a couple of weeks getting used it, my body adapted and I can honestly say I hardly sweat! I wasn't an extremely sweaty person to start with but I have seen a huge difference since using it and I dont smell which is obviously fab. Would really recommend swapping and I want to find an organic one which has nothing in it at all so its more natural and even better for my body.

3. Sigma Make-up Brushes.

Lucky enough to receive some money for Christmas I decided to treat myself to some new Make-up brushes. I had never spent over £15 on a brush and my Real Technique ones have always sufficed. However, Beauty Bay had an amazing sale on and I managed to get both these brushes and a make-up brush cleanser for only £21! I can honestly say, I 100% understand why people splurge on good make up brushes. They are amazing!! They are such good quality and applying my foundation and blush is like a dream these days. Even though there were a few different brushes on sale, I wanted these two because I knew I'd use them every day and wow, I will more than likely invest in some more Sigma brushes in the future.

4. No7 Illuminating Radiance Cream.

Another thing I got for Christmas was this little beauty. It came in a lovely make up set and I haven't stopped using it since. I used to use Mac's Strobe Cream a few years ago and I would apply it before foundation to give a nice dewy finish. I then bought a cheaper version from Primark which was very close to giving the same effect but I stopped using it a while ago. But this is a game changer. It's so light but illuminating and really does make my skin glow. I can imagine on holiday with a tanned face this would look gorgeous on the high points of you face just alone to give a soft glow by the beach. But applying it under foundation gives the foundation a base, it acts like a primer but seeps through on your cheekbones and nose to really highlight them. Even though I am sure it will last a while, I think it will be a product I repurchase in the future.

5. Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation & Revolution Pro Base Foundation.

This duo of foundation has been the best thing since sliced bread. I was very kindly gifted the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation by a friend who's skin didn't agree to it. And on first thought I knew it would be too dark for my skin without fake tan so I thought I could use it as a going out foundation. The actual consistency of the foundation is quite thick and initially it clung to my dry patches and I didn't like it. However, after using a new hydrating moisturiser and applying my radiance cream first, with a tan, this foundation soon became my favourite. It is such good coverage and creates a flawless finish. My Revolution foundation was also something I had mixed reviews about. I LOVED the formula but HATED the way you applied it to your face and I also started to realise it was very drying and very white once dried on my face. However, mixing this foundation with my Charlotte Tilbury one means it balances out the dark shade and creates a lovely warm but perfect colour for my skin without tan and creates a lovely texture on my skin which doesn't leave it too dry or too dewy.

6. Sunday Riley LUNA Seeping Oil

Sunday Riley are a brand I have heard many bloggers talk about and it has been a brand that I have always wanted to try but which had a price tag too high for my minimum wage pocket. BUT, Lydia Millen, the most gorgeous human ever created a box collaboration with Cult Beauty last year and it included many amazing products, from Tata Harper to ByTerry and it included a mini version of the Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Oil. This product intensively hydrates and stimulates cells to encourage repair and renewal with advanced retinal to reduce wrinkles and damage caused by the sun. It leaves my skin SO soft and visibly brighter and clearer. I dont use it every night, probably 2-4 times a week depending how dry my skin is that week. Even though it has a very high price tag, out of everything in the box I do think this is the best and worth the money!!

7. Benefit Brow

I decided to try this product because I'd been wanting something new for my eyebrows. Eyebrow products are something I really struggle with. I can never get the right product and I feel like they're either too smudged and not hair like or are too oily. I have used pencils in the past but nothing has been this good. It's a really easy product to use and makes filling in my eyebrows very quick. Depending on the occasion, you can make it light or dark and my shade is in number 3 which is perfect for my hair colour. This is a mini version so I'm not sure how long this will last me but I will more than likely be buying the full size version!

8. NU Skin Hydrating Mist

Hydrating mist is a product my skin loves. Whether I have make up on, going to bed or applying it before make up my skin drinks it up and it makes me feel clean and hydrated in seconds. It's a great moisturiser and I find myself only needing this rather than creams or serums and stripping back my skincare routine to only using this has seen a big difference in the texture and brightness of my skin. But I also use it over my make up to give a nice dewy finish and is very similar to Mac's Fix Plus but half the price tag for the amount you get In a bottle. I am sure this will last me a very long time and if anyone is interested in purchasing some then let me know!

As you can see I do use a mixture of high end and drugstore products and I do believe its not about price at all. But sometimes, products and formulas which are expensive are worth the price and usually last you a very long time anyway which makes it more worth it. I am going to do a more in-depth review on a product very soon discussing a high end Fake Tan I purchased a few months ago so keep your eyes peeled for that as we get further into the year ready for spring/summer holidays!

My next blog post is going to be discussing my Vitamin D deficiency so ill see you then!

Thank you so much for reading!

Chloe, x
